On his way to a mathematical conference on the Moon, Dr. Tate Richardson is kidnapped in a daring Martian raid. Once on Mars Tate turns out to be less, and much more, than his kidnappers had counted on. This is a second story set in the same world as "Starship." Occurring three years later after than the events in "Starship," this independent story continues the saga of humans and the stars. COMING SOON! Read the whole story in "Starships: The Complete Saga." Extensively revised and reedited, I've put the three WattPad Starships stories into a finished chronicle. It includes two new stories: "Starships: Dawn" recounts the discovery that made the first starship possible. "Starships: A Song In the Dark" tells the concluding story-or, is it just the beginning?

Rika is a bibliophile who picked the wrong book to read. Transported to a world like the ones she's always read about, she's not happy to find herself more or less useless. To make matters worse, she's being hunted by two powerful lords and she has no idea why. All she wants to do is go home, even if that means crossing an entire country while dodging soldiers, mages, lords, and monsters. This story is for the 2012 NaNoWriMo and I haven't posted the edited version yet (because it's not done), so be aware there will be a lot of typos in this. Sorry

Fiona feels like she's finally settled into St. Lawrence Academy. The sight of her classmates changing into centaurs, harpies, and merrows doesn't faze her anymore, and she's been careful to use the words Phasms or people. She hasn't forgotten that she's the only human in school and is still hiding it with the help of her friends. But even with a new French teacher, one not trying to suck the power out of the whole school, things aren't going as smooth as Fiona would like to believe. Because not everyone is pleased with the way Mr. Bishara handled things, and as Fiona finds out, not all Phasms are friendly to each other. Things go from bad to worse when the faculty begin to disappear. In the end, Fiona is forced to face the whole school and make a decision: Protect herself or protect her new home. Ever since her family was kidnapped, Azara, a woman of fire mage stock, has survived with a warrior's will and the hope of one day finding them. Whispers of their fate have finally led her to the Empire, where her brother and sister are now prized possessions of His Celestial Majesty's court. Unable to immediately negotiate their freedom, Azara reluctantly agrees to the Emperor's suggestion: accompany his devoted magus Jin across their rival's border in search of other fire mages while her siblings remain in the Emperor's hands. Posing as married tea merchants, Azara and Jin's masquerade begins. For a fierce young woman devoted to a heartening cause, and a man beholden to his duties, it's an uneasy alliance-but one that quickly turns passionate. It's also a dangerous proposition, for although the attraction between Jin and Azara is real, both the Emperor and Azara have ulterior motives. It's only when Azara explores her unique powers and puts her faith in Jin that their fight for family-and for their very destiny-can succeed. Excerpt.
