Clint and Barney Barton just got to see their adoptive parents, Logan and K, get married. So things are looking pretty good right now. Sure, there are already jokes about Logan and K having kids of their own, but the boys are pretty confident that won't happen for a while. Except fate has a funny way of making these things happen anyway. So when Logan brings home a couple orphaned girls, it looks like their little family is getting bigger whether they planned it that way or not. (This is the fifth part of the 495 Marvel Universe)

Seven-year-old Clint Barton and his mom, K, have been running from Department H and from Victor Creed, but when Sabretooth was still able to get to them at the X-Men's mansion, the Avengers offered their tower as a safe haven. They're making themselves at home, and the Avengers are doing everything they can to help, but are even Earth's Mightiest Heroes up to the task of keeping these two trouble magnets out of, well, trouble? This is part 3 of the 495 Universe, which I'm writing along with CanuckleheadCowgirl.

Scott Summers hates who he's become. He's made so many mistakes, and he doesn't think he can be forgiven for many of them. But the one thing he thinks he can do right, the one good decision he can make for himself, is to stop the cycle of bad decisions, get out from under the weight of the hole he's dug for himself, and leave. Only... he's never left anything or anyone before. Sure, others have left him, but Scott? Leaving? He doesn't even know where to start. As Scott makes his way toward Alaska, wandering through Canada on the way there, he confronts not only his inner demons put some pretty darn real ones as well. But he'll also meet the Hale family, a group of displaced Southern belles and their family who welcome Scott into their homes and treat him just like they would anyone else. It's an actual, honest-to-Galactus chance to start over, and Scott's going to take it. This fic is part of the 714 Universe and should be read before Volume 3 ("Kree, Shi'ar, and Skrulls, Oh My!") because that volume is when we bring Scott and Annie into the picture. He knows that K has a scary past, one that involves some bad men who forced her to do things she didn't want to do. But when those men come after them, the problem might be more than the two of them can handle on their own. Not that Clint is happy about needing help, especially from costumed superheroes who should keep their noses out of his mom's business. And while this means awesome things like sleepovers with Storm and parties with her new friend Jubilee, it also means all sorts of issues that she's never dealt with. Anti-mutant rhetoric, Sentinels, angry mobs, and even demonic issues ... the Avengers never had to deal with anything like this. With someone to protect and someone to protect him in return, Clint follows the mysterious K on the run, but K's ghosts are much bigger than his are, and Department H might just get them killed.
