I counted my steps as I ran across the gravel leading to HQ. I could hear twigs snapping under my feet, making cracking noises. As I reached HQ, I thought about how Angry Captain Levi would be if he found me out after dark, again. I shoved that thought to the depths of my mind as I pushed open the large oak door and peeked my head in to see if the coast is clear. After sensing no one, I scurried up to my room, or rather my bunk in the dorms. I quietly closed the door behind me and turned around. I gasped, nearly screamed, as I saw Captain Levi sitting on my bed, arms crossed, and his foot tapping away. He was mad. "Tch, and just where were you brat?" He questioned me impatiently. "I, got lost in town and it was dark before I knew it. I'm sorry Captain, it won't happen again." I lied "It better not. If you go out after dark again you will be in real trouble midnight weirdo." He snarled at me. Midnight weirdo. The nickname he gave me because I seem to never sleep. I do of course, but hardly anyone sees me sleep. "Yes sir" I said. Levi walked out and I waited for a couple of seconds. When I heard his footsteps fade, I opened my pouch and dumped out all the goodies I got tonight. Taffy, chocolate, and other candy. I snickered to myself at how I smuggled these in. I pulled a drawstring bag out from a loose floorboard and dumped all the candy in it. I then quickly put the bag back and sat down on my bed. My name is (Y/N) (L/N), and I am a scout in the survey corps. I lie for a living and hardly sleep. Welcome to my life.
