"You just might not." Magnus smirked at the cute mess he'd just created and tried himself to ignore his own speeding pulse. He looked at Alec and at the sweat that was slowly trickling down his face and noted the short breaths Alec was taking and felt his own heart swell at the sight. "What are you so afraid of Alexander?" There was a straining pause before Alec finally gain controlled of his urges enough to speak. "You're...you're confusing me!" Alec shoved Magnus off of his arm and snarled at the handsome devil whose smug smile had fallen instantly. "You smile and you flirt. But what are you sacrificing? Where are your rules?" His ears were red and he towered over Magnus significantly jabbing his fingers at Magnus's lean chest. "Rules?" Magnus asked egging on Alec's anger. "Yeah, did I fucking stutter?" Magnus sucked in a breath and roughly put his hand right back on Alec's arm with a strength that surprised the both of them as he pulled Alec close. "Fuck the rules," Magnus whispered into Alec's right ear making the hairs on his body rise up. Again, he shoved Magnus back. This time, against the lockers, with his hand wrapped around Magnus's neck figuring out if he wanted to kiss him and have him right there or if he wanted to choke him to death. Instead, Alec just gulp and felt his migraine worsen from all the thoughts that flooded his head before he just stomped away angrily. Magnus watched Alec walk away in a hurry and smiled at the sight as he fixed his collar biting longingly on his bottom lip. "Hard to get," He took in the smell of Alec's scent which lingered in the air intoxicatingly. "I love a challenge."

That's when Alec and Magnus first talked, senior year when Alec was tired of trying to see if he really like Jace and he was tired of being scared of being gay.
