Set during the medieval times, dragons have become a rare sight. When the king's dragon lays an egg, King Nicholas orders the capture of its bond mate. Ariana was born bonded to a dragon named Fuego. The two of them grow up together and learn their unusual abilities while hiding out from the king. But one day an attack from another kingdom leaves Ariana an orphan and she is sent to the castle to learn more about her abilities and to train for war.
