Four years after the burning of the Opera Populaire, a young English woman pursues the mystery surrounding the phantom of the opera.

When 17 year old Ryleigh Thomas has a nervous breakdown and her friend comes over to comfort her, the two decide to watch their favorite musical, "The Phantom of the Opera." As she is falling asleep later that night, Ryleigh makes an innocent wish. But little does she know that her wish will change her life forever. Everyone knows the story of the Phantom of the Opera, or at least the one that ballet rats told. This is the real story of the masked genius and the young soprano. The Victome de Changy was not Christine's childhood sweetheart. To Christine, he was nothing but to her but a rich patron of the Opera House who wanted to marry her. And Christine Daaé, well she was still a ballerina in the ballet de corps, who snuck out to see her angel of music for voice lessons. And then on that faithful night, the scarlett soprano made her singing debut. But what happens after, she never expects. From indescribable passions and jealous suitors, Christine realizes that love is not like a fairy tale. Especially not when one is loving an angel.

She had been shot, and her whole world faded before her.... And then she was thrust into the light and bustle of the Palais Garnier once again. You are quick to be whisked away by a masked stranger. After he fixes you up and allows you to stay the night with him, a powerful friendship begins to spark between the two of you, and you soon become an apprentice to the ever-so-famous opera ghost. You seem to know more about the events in the opera house than anyone else does- Christine Daaé, Joseph Buquet, Meg Giry, and even her own mother. You seem to hold as much knowledge as the man who brought you there. All seems well for a while. The operas, parties, drinking, and love triangles continue on as if nothing happened... That is, until you realize that you're in love with that man clad in black. *** Note: This story begins at around the same time that the musical does - when managers André and Firmin first take charge of the opera house. I tried to stay true to most of the story line, but there will be a few minor changes.
