When Elle was just a little girl, her aunt told her about this great trip through Europe she had once gone on. And so, years later, an eighteen-year-old Elle decides to go on the same trip. But hers doesn’t go nearly as smoothly as her aunt’s. And so, completely disappointed and even more heartbroken than before, Elle decides to go back home. But then her plane has to stop in a little town in the middle of nowhere during the biggest snowstorm of the decade. And so the adventures she had been hoping for and the love she hadn't really expected to find are thrust upon her, in the form of trying to find a place to stay in a town flooded with angry tourists, a crazy set of weird characters that offer their help, and an overly sarcastic yet amiable boy that doesn’t seem like anyone Elle has ever met before.

Eric Walker was a 17 year old boy looking at a very successful future. Nothing stood in the young man's way. Except death. Two years later after his brutal murder Eric is still looking for his killer. No one has seen him since he has become a ghost. Until Grace Alexander. She's not exactly human. With an enemy old and powerful out to kill her Eric decides he'll stay and protect her after already saving her life. The fact she can see him through physical touch is a perk.
