Jayde Hunter is a college sophomore who can take care of herself. She always has, but times are getting tough and Bernard, an older businessman, might be able to help. Bernard offers her a break when she desperately needs one, and gives her a place to stay. Jayde is grateful but resents having to accept help from anyone, having learned from her past that nothing is free. Feelings between the two become undeniable, but the obstacles ever more so, especially the 19 year age gap between the two.
