The Passing of Moons had cast a shadow over everything in sight, and dark clouds fanned out like wings on the horizon, a terrifying winged beast seeking to devour the sun as it grew dim. When the darkness hit, and the clouds were illuminated with a dying red light, we swore there was a moment when the clouds seemed almost alive; eyes glowing like fiery coals. We knew it was them by then. There was a wail, somewhere in the crowd, and panic settled in. There were cries, screams of terror, but the flames surrounded us before we had the chance to run. The fire had appeared out of nowhere and we could see nothing other than the light of the flame, our fear was drowned out by the crackling and spitting as the flames pursued us. One by one, we fell, swallowed away by the growing blaze. Only the air was frigid, and the fire was cold - ice cold. Freezing burns covered our ears and legs and flanks, and the drowning cries were accompanied by a sickening shatter of something that definitely wasn't ice. Before we knew, we were dying. A painless, horrifying death, and we couldn't shake the thought that we had it all wrong. We weren't going to be rescued. There was no miracle, no shining hope within our midst. This was the end. For as long as he could remember, Gorsefire lived a normal life. Nothing extraordinary, but not exactly insufferable. As a kit, he, along with most kittens, dreamed of being leader and one of the most feared yet respected warriors. And like most kittens, he lived without a care in the world. But as he aged, he soon found out that life isn't all smiles and sunshine. Gorsefire uncovers things he wished he had never found out, and his relationships begin to waver and secrets of his are broken. Gradually, Gorsefire's life falls apart. And even as Gorsestar, leader of ChasmClan, the suffering doesn't stop. Things only get worse. But this isn't just mere coincidence... No, the things that happen to Gorsestar aren't by chance. Somebody is trying to ruin his life, /somebody/ is trying to make Gorsestar suffer until the day he decides to end it all... But who...?

PineClan has always thrived on it's own for years, without spiritual guidance until now. Antagonism occurs heavily around the borders of PineClan territory, and it's a kind of issue no cat has ever dealt with. Frogdapple is just another warrior in PineClan, or possibly less, as his clanmates see it. He isn't the best at hunting or fighting, but his intelligence is greater than any skill he possesses.
