[Highest ranking: #1 in Spiritual on 15/8/18] ••• • In which a girl saved a boy's life in the most unexpected of circumstances • She drank water. He drank alcohol. She had a family who'd take a bullet for her. He had a family who'd throw him under the bus. She dreamt of her future. He dreamt of his death. Both are Muslims but only one is closer to their Lord. ••• *NOT CLICHÉ* This story in no way depicts the true Muslim culture. It's about the modern Muslims nowadays who steer away from the right path. This book contains some strong language, graphic content and violence so I advise you to read it with care. "I hope you realize you made the worst f**king decision of your life." She could feel his cold icy blue eyes piercing through her soul. "I didn't ask for this..." tears threatened to fall from her eyes, her lips quivering in fear. His grip on both her wrists become tighter as he slams them hard against the wall, trapping her petite body in-between the wall and his body, "You'll never have a place in my life, let alone my heart, do you understand?" She winces from the pain from her wrists. He slams her arms against the wall again. He leans in close enough to the point where their lips are only inches apart, "I said, do you f**king understand, foolish girl?" His voice rises as he clenches his jaw in an impatient manner. She nods in hopes that he'll let go. And just like that, he lets go of her as she falls to the floor in utter defeat. What have I done... she asks herself. **Full Summary Inside** Cover by: Me, Myself, and I!

Highest ranking, #1 in spiritual ( 10/7/2016 ) until ( 5/ 9/ 2016 ). How can you fix something that's already been broken, several times? I am damaged, used and repulsive... I am nothing, just simply unfixable. Or at least that's what people told me. I've kept to myself for a long time now until I met someone who is just as unfixable as me. I am Layla and this is my story. * Layla Joseph and Adam Hayek cross paths at the most unexpected time. They make a deal, they decide to get married for their own selfish reasons. Put two strangers in one house and see what happens... one of them is a first class bipolar asshole who has no faith left, while the other one is a sweet, fragile girl with baggage in the form of a little angel, who happens to be strengthening her faith. Both are broken... unfixable they say and both have a past that haunts them. A marriage of convenience is what they had in mind... But will there be more or will they let their pasts get in the middle and drive them away from each other, leaving them yet again unfixable? ******* Romance/Spiritual Warning! This book will most probably contain mature language at some point. This book is not meant to be preaching about islam, rather its a book about characters who happen to be muslims struggling with their faith and life. It's a FICTIONAL book, my imagination did the work for me. Anything else could be a coincidence. I DONT OWN ANY OF THE PHOTOS USED IN THIS BOOK. I'm not a perfect Muslimah and this book isn't a perfect Islamic book either. Please have an open mind when you read this book. Thank you.

The sound of the shattering glass sent a chill down my spine, forcing me to withdraw deeper into the corner where I was tucked in. "Mansur, please stop. At least for Aaliyah's sake." I begged, the tears streaming down my cheeks. He swung around to face me, his eyes blazing with rage. "To hell with you and that bloody girl." he yelled. Do you hear me, Salma? To HELL with you and her. This is my house, and I can do whatever I want." he yelled, throwing the bottle at my dressing mirror. The glass shattered all over the room, the larger pieces landing on some of the bottles on the drawer beside the dressing mirror in which I kept my incense sticks. This caused them to shatter as well, the glass falling everywhere across the room. I could hear Aaliyah crying in the next room, but I could not go to her as Mansur was blocking the door. "You will learn your place today." he yelled, unbuckling his belt. I shut my eyes as the tears continued to flow, knowing all too well what came next. The first strike was always the one that hurt most.

Arranged Marriage. It's what most Muslims go though, and Afghans are no exception. For Afghan's there is no such thing as 'love marriage'. Well, at least for most of them there isn't. Through generations parents have arranged marriages for their child with a close relative or friend, and the child has nothing left but to agree. Twenty-two year old Negina is left in the same situation. When her parents broke the news to her, Negina is devastated and all she wants to do is die. Dear reader, you've probably heard at least one person say negative things about themselves. Am I right? Well, Negina thinks the same way. She's not beautiful like all her cousins and sister. Impossible to even imagine what she went through in school. All the girls wore makeup and shorts with crop tops and high heels. But Negina's parents are against all of that. Only after graduating high school she was aloud to wear makeup. Shorts? Crop tops? "Never in a million years." Is always her parents answer. But now she's getting married to Khalid Malik. Negina has heard many stories about 'love after nikah' yet when she meets her fiancé for the first time she's more than surprised to see his reaction, and the circumstances she has to live with may be unbearable. ||7/28/18 ~ #25 in #spiritual||
