~In watty longlist 2018 ~ An attempt to create, and explore the crevices untouched. Be part of my poetry journey, as I attempt to rediscover parts of me, parts of you and an inexplicable bond one shares with words. ... Denial & Bliss is a collection of short poems that borders between mildly heart-breaking scenarios and its acceptance of conflicts arising from loneliness. It aims to capture different facets of human despair and evoke neo-noir imagery, and tries to be intentionally unsettling and jarring with its rhyme scheme on certain occasions. The collection opens with "Mortal Shell with rust", a poem describing pain due to heartbreak and unfaithfulness and how it kills your spirit. It continues to explore the narrator's wish to be separated with "Explorer", and relive her experiences to understand her feelings with "End", "Muted Wails", and "Infinitely Close". The point of view begins to shift from "Scared", where the reason of insecurity & ache stems from what people now perceive her as. The narrator's struggle to heal is apparent in "shards" and attempt to move on in "Breathe me in." The collection ends with "Evolve", one of the shortest poems in the collection which evokes its namesake as it all comes to end.

A catalogue of short poems dedicated to a special palindrome 'ELLE'. - Mortal men are made immortal through their art, their ways of expressing the world through their creativity. Art in whichever way it is expressed should represent the artist even from the abyss of death and I hope this catalogue lives up to that stature.
