There were once four houses, not the kind that are places or holes, but that of royals and bloodlines. Each one of these houses represented one of the deepest of magics: igni, the sign of flame and light, Agris the mark of strength and control, Fae, the symbol of force and speed, and Quil, the sign of water and life. For many centuries the magics of the the royals kept peace and order. This was, of course, not to be for war was soon waged between the royal bloodlines that once fought for peace. The war was unending. The only hope for the free kingdoms was a single prophecy which told of four legendary youths marked by the ancient signs that will defeat the darkest of hearts and restore peace. This legend, however important, faded out of memory and was soon all but forgotten....
