Avatar Aang saved the world and brought the world out of one of its darkest ages. Now that Zuko is ruling the Fire Nation and Fire Lord Ozai has been defeated the world is finally united and at peace. Everything has been calm and Aang and Katara have started their family and they are finally happy; but when new enemies begin to surface how will Aang and Katara and their family handle the pressure and adversity.

Katara is trying to heal from what happened to her, both physically and mentally. The rest of her team is working hard to figure out who attacked her, and why. Everyone is on edge and hoping that this is the worst of it. But things have never been that easy for them, have they?

It's been twelve years since Avatar Aang and the infamous Team Avatar defeated the ruthless Fire Nation and ended the Hundred-Year War, and everything has changed for the better. Aang and Fire Lord Zuko founded Republic City, the Capitol of the United Republic of Nations. Toph has become chief of police, and Zuko returned the Fire Nation, where he plans to rule his homeland the way his father, Ozai, never did. Everyone believes that their trials and tribulations are over, but they'll soon come to realize that they're very much wrong. A new foe has emerged from the shadows, and he has his eyes on one person....Katara.

"My grandmother used to tell me stories about the old days. A time of peace, when the Avatar kept balance between the four nations: Water Tribe, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. But everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. 100 years ago, Firelord Sozin used the power of a comet and exterminated the Air Nomads. All, that is, but one. Avatar Aang is the last Airbender, the only hope this world has of finding peace, and he is currently fighting for his life. The current princess of the Fire Nation, Azula, shot him with lightning when he was in the Avatar State, and killed him. I used spirit water to save him, and now he is in a coma. I and our friends, along with the rest of the world, are eagerly awaiting his return, all of us believing that things will turn out right in the end, and that somehow, the Avatar will return to save the world." What would have happened if Aang had never woken up from his coma? What if he was alive, and the Avatar Spirit was functional, but trapped in an eternal state of unconsciousness? Would the Gaang have stuck with their plan for the Day of Black Sun, or would Ozai have won? So many unanswered questions about this fanfic already, and this is just the description!
