Pacific Rim meets Friday Night Lights as knee-jerk rebel Sage Sawyer is forced to join her high school "tourneytub" team, the Jupiter Jackalopes. Tourneytub is the muddy opera where "humors," these emotion-fueled monsters, are pacified by jockeys in "tubs," towering robots. (Basically graceful cathedrals wrapped up in sucker punches.) Sage's new teammates are all oddballs. Genesis O'Toole, "Princess Chastity Belt" herself, is a devout Christian. When Sage joins the team though, Genesis wrestles with intense feelings for her. Talia Amphigore, star Jackalope, gets badly injured and benched. She's determined to reclaim her throne, but what if she can't? Who is she without tourneytub? Artie Amphigore, the disabled "Tub Whisperer," may be a brilliant engineer, but he struggles with crippling (haha) self-doubt. When the Jackalopes need him most, will he rise above his doubt? Meanwhile, following Talia's downfall, Peter Donkersmit suddenly finds himself responsible for the manifestation of the team's monsters, birthed from his own emotions. Jolie~ The new guy is hot. Like, made me trip over my feet and fall in front of him hot. Great first impression, right? But, surprisingly he's also really kind, a rare combo in high school. Throw in the fact that he's fae and he's even rarer, but I didn't know that last part until...well, you'll see. Ash~ The human world isn't what I expected. People can be almost as conniving as the faeries at Court, except for Jolie. Her emotions are something I've never felt before. She's beautiful, inside and out. I want to get to know her; I want to make her mine. But my Queen is starting a war, and she'll demand I use my gifts to further her objective. Will Ash be able to evade the toxic grasp of the Seelie Queen, or will she find a way to use Jolie against him?

Four bad boys, Ayden, Hayden, Brayden, and Okayden, try to form a school club to learn how to fight their bad boy instincts, or succumb to cliches trying. ******* When Ayden's six-pack appeared when he was nine, he realized that he was born to be a bad boy. Far for embracing it, he has dedicated his whole life to avoid every cliche in the book, from girls with mysterious pasts stumbling into him in the hallways, to always changing schools to be the "mysterious new kid," to ancient beings asking him to be a chosen one every other day. But a fated encounter with the captain of the football team makes him realized that he is not the only one cursed with being a bad boy. There are others like him. Alone, they are weak. Together, they are strong. Sort of. With the mission to finding others cursed with being bad boys, Ayden and his new friends will work together to make a school club where they can help each other avoid the trappings of cliche and finish the school year unscathed.
