I don't know how long I've been here for. That doesn't frighten me though. I don't know when I'll next get food and water. That doesn't frighten me though. What frightens me are the screams and the cries coming from the basement. The pleads, the begs. What frightens me is not knowing whether I'm ever going to get out of here. What frightens me is knowing that I could have the same fate as the screaming people under the floorboards...
