Hazel Benoit is a sophomore in high school, 15 years old. It's so hard to balance time in high school, what with homework and hobbies and also cute girls and boys, but if that weren't bad enough, she and a few of her friends are also superheroes. Why? They honestly have no idea. Is it because
"When you can do the things that I can, but you don't, and then the bad things happen, they happen because of you."
like Peter Parker says in Captain America: Civil War?
Personally, I think Tori's just in it for the superhero outfit, because, wow does she look good in it. Warm colors look great on her. Who knows why they do it? (I, the writer, am telling you, it is because of the "with great power comes great responsibility" thing. There you go. It's all spelled out for you.)
Anyways, there's a new kid. Thorne Hall. He's nice, everybody becomes friends with him.
There's also a new... well, I hesitate to say supervillain, cause he's just kind of a nuisance. Let's go with ambiguous new character with superpowers. Tempest. His dad's a jerk though. Like the biggest jerk. I hate him so much. He's power-hungry and a pretty bad father.
Now they have to save Centerville from Thorne's evil dad (Haha you haven't figured that out already? It's so obvious to everyone except the Storm Sentinel. You're going to be so frustrated with them. Feel free to annotate the book, Maria, and any other people that enjoy writing in books.) and his lust for power.
