Radio host Selina Locke's life takes an unexpected turn when she crosses paths with troubled pop star Remus Rossi, sparking a connection that could save both of their careers--if they can navigate their emotional baggage. ***** Radio talk show host Selina Locke was just looking for a peaceful summer in sunny Barcelona, but things can never go according to plan. Striking up a conversation with pop superstar Remus Rossi, the lead singer of the award-winning band Summersteen, at her bar was definitely not on the cards, but their lives twine faster and harder than any of them ever saw coming. Summersteen is having issues, Selina needs a good interview, and they quickly find they can help each other. There's just one problem: both of them carry plenty of emotional baggage, and Selina doesn't think she can handle her own, let alone someone else's. THIS IS A FREE STORY WITH EXCLUSIVE CHAPTERS. "The toil of all that be helps not the primal fault; it rains into the sea, and still the sea is salt." ~A. E. Housman When office woman Alfreda spontaneously runs away from her maddening routine one night, she has no idea why she did it-or what to do next. Teetering on the thin line between illusions and clarity, she realises that what seems to be a city of dreams may be a prison of the mind after all. Disclaimer: The poem used in this short story was not written by me. Its full name is 'Stars, I Have Seen Them Fall' by Alfred E. Housman. It's a short but beautiful piece of work and I hope you enjoy my interpretation of it.
