"It makes no sense." Owen gave a frustrated sigh. "I don't remember anything! How I got here, why I can't leave, why no one will acknowledge me. . ." He buried his face in his hands. I bit my lip and fiddled with the zipper of my jacket. "I get it, man. Not remembering things can be hard. One time-" "You don't understand." The ghost boy's voice shook and he looked up shyly from his hands. "You don't understand, Titan. Because even though it seems like I don't remember anything. . . you're the one thing I DO remember."

Luke doesn't understand what was going on. People are disappearing left and right from Fort Redwater. His sister Taylor tells him not to worry, but he's paranoid about if it'll happen to him. Everyone in town says that the people who disappeared rebelled against the town's rules and a mysterious force took them away for disobeying, but Luke knows better. All the townsfolk say Fort Redwater is the only town for miles, but something about that story sounds fishy. Luke is intent on finding out the truth. Rowan was afraid. Afraid of her father and his rules. Afraid of the outside. Afraid of what fear could do to her. Her father keeps to cooped up in Shai Yang Temple for "her safety". Rowan swears he has more things in mind that her safety, but she's afraid to rebel against him. She is forced to create crazy contraptions for her crazy father in a lab. One fateful day, Rowan runs away into the unknown, looking for freedom and adventure. Mason wasn't sure where he was. All he remembered was lots of fire and the screams of the citizens of Evermore. The smoke choking him and stinging his eyes. Then he had blacked out. Now he's living in church ruins, talking to a mysterious voice at night. It whispers of power, knowledge and his memory. Mason isn't completely sure if he should believe the voice, but he's getting desperate. He needs to find out what happened in his past.

You've heard the trope - So-and-so was a normal kid with a normal life until one day... right? Well Evan knew something was up when he moved to a small town called Ordale. Since his mother died, his father couldn't make much money, so they had to move out of the big city and leave all their friends and family behind. Ordale just doesn't sit well with Evan, and he knows something is different than the rest of the world. People are ruder, they're more secretive... or maybe that's just how people are west of Ordale.
