There's something about red-headed little girls that seems to make everyone believe that they have to be the most delightful little children who talk too much and have a larger imagination than the number of freckles on their nose. But it's not 1908 anymore. Matthew Cuthbert isn't going to pick up Anne Shirley in a buggy. Matthew Cuthbert is going to meet Anne's social worker first, and then will find a girl who was always meant to be happy, but never quite was because it's a dog eat dog world, and she had found herself on the wrong end of that equation. Anne Shirley is an orphan who grew up in the foster care system, unloved and unwanted. Anne Shirley grew up with social media criticizing her body image and cultivating her fears. Anne Shirley grew up in group homes and foster families, and things happened there that she would never tell the outside world. Parts of Anne have been left in the various hells she has been forced to live in, and Matthew can only pray that he will be able to pull her out. Nine months. It had been nine months since Gilbert Blythe left Avonlea, and said goodbye to Anne Shirley-Cuthbert. When he unexpectedly returns, it will turn her life upside down, in a variety of emotional ways. Romance has always bewitched the imaginative Anne, but when it knocks on her hearts door, will she be brave enough to lock it up? Brave enough to admit it to not only the one it's hold for, but to herself? A fanfiction based on the show: "Anne with an E" and Lucy Maud Montgomery's book series: "Anne of Green Gables".

Since Netflix is too much of a coward to give Shirbert a season 4, I'm going to do it myself. Anne and Gilbert are finally happily together, yet they're hundreds of miles away from each other for college. Letters are the only way they sustain themselves. What will they do when the pain of being away from each other becomes too unbearable?

Anne is now a full time student at Queens Academy, a place where many journeys await. New dangers, new friends, and new romances blossom as Anne faces some of her biggest adventures yet. The way I will be writing it most likely will not fit in with just one season. If I decide to keep up with the story, it'll be going through many different years in Anne's life, starting after the end of season 3. All of it will be based of of the show, and loosely based off of the events in L.M. Montgomery's books. {What to expect: ...Lots of shirbert (because of course) a few other ships too for subplots, and since I want it to feel like an actual season of the show, there are a few different main plots that will be introduced as well.} Don't forget to comment what you think!
