In the close-knit town of Brightwich, New York, everyone follows the same morning routine every day. Wake up, wave to the neighbor, and maybe grab breakfast at the town's favorite diner. But today it's different. Today, The preacher's son, Luke, discovers a something new. Today there's a stranger in town. But when he actually talks to Ashton, Luke sees more companionship in this James-Dean-wannabe than what everyone else would probably like. And when trying to get Ashton in touch with the joy of familiarity in the little town's everyday life, Luke starts to enjoy the promise of adventure and mystery surrounding Ashton a little more than he ought.

Ashton has never really cared about Christmas, and Luke has never been able to celebrate it. But after inviting Luke to stay at Michael, Calum, and his apartment for the holidays, Ashton starts to see a glimpse of that coveted holiday magic through someone else's eyes. And he almost hopes to feel it himself. OR Luke and Ashton meet on Thanksgiving and agree to have their first (real) Christmases together, and spend the thirty days before falling in love not only with the holiday, but with each other.

A Lashton story: In the beginning of a new chapter of his life, Ashton deals with the traumas of his past. He uses them as the foundations of his decision making towards a brighter happier future. Perhaps someone else is helping usher him in the right direction to get out of his dead end job and pursue his lifelong dream: owning his own restaurant. The future looks bright for Ashton-with the help the people closest to him-but there might be a few bumps along the way. Or A short fic where Ashton works at a sandwich deli, and Luke works at the Frozen Yogurt shop next to it. This is a mainly Lashton fic with some soft Malum (and TW major character death)
