Kaito is an abused ninken, who belongs to a band of rogue shinobi. That is until one day he is captured one night when a mission goes wrong. He is captured by the leaf shinobi. The Hokage of the village seems to think he could be of use to them and so decides to keep him and assign him a new Master. Injured and with no other way to escape, Kaito can only by his time, and heal before he can escape the grasp of his new Master. Will he escape the clutches of the shinobi humans who have done nothing but hurt him? Or will he find a forever home in the leaf village? Only time will tell.
