It's ten years later, after Thanos destroyed their home and gave the team the reason to finally stop and disband the team. But now, their children are growing up and yearning to take their place. Between growing powers and the challenges of young adulthood, no one is sure who is suffering more; the kids or the parents.

Just when life finally settled down, and things found normalcy, or at least as normal as they could be for Steve, he gets a request of himself that he doesn't know if he can fulfill. He promised to give his kids the world, and anything they could ever want, but not this.

Steve and the reader have decided to move back to the Avengers compound as they await the arrival of their unexpected fourth child, mostly at Tony's insistence after the near loss of his only child at the end of Part 3. Things may never be given the chance to get back to their own type of normalcy after a mission gone wrong changes everything that Tony has ever known; even about himself.

The kids are turning one, and things are taking a turn that no one expected...or did they? As if parenting triplets wasn't challenging enough, Steve and the reader find themselves in a personal battle that they might not make it through this time. And if they do, will they ever be the same again?

After the events of book 1, Steve and the reader are settling into a normal groove of married couple and teammates, but life takes an unexpected turn.
