He fidgeted nervously, not meeting my eyes. "It's Euphonia..." He whispered. "What about her?" I was suddenly on edge. If something happened to her... "Euphonia... she's..." "Spit it out, soldier!" I hissed between my teeth. "She's..." He sighed before continuing. "Missing."

"Well, you don't hate me, love." He laughed, his cheeks painted red from the alcohol. I didn't need any to match the color, his smile was enough. But I wasn't going to let him win that easily. "Yes, I do and don't call me that." I growled, crossing my arms over my chest. "Then I propose a bet," He snickered, his electric eyes narrowing. His words weren't at all slurred, even in this highly intoxicated state. They were straight forward and their message was clear. This is where my life would end... But my story was just beginning.
