Maladaptive daydreaming: a proposed condition in which a person excessively daydreams or fantasizes, sometimes as a response to prior psychological trauma or abuse. Aaron Ash comes from a broke home full of abuse, alcoholism and drug use. Sometimes he finds himself in daydreams that depict a better life. He, of course, can tell his dream world from reality which troubles him. In his daydream he has a friend, his only friend. This boy goes by the name of Mark and he dreams that this 'Mark' helps him with his troubles. What if one day this Mark character that Aaron has created in his mind comes to life, and goes to his very school? Mark and Aaron have been staying with each other for a few months now since Jess left Aaron. Aaron has fallen for Mark but does Mark feel the same? Valentines Day is coming up and Aaron wants to admit his feelings for mark before then. Will he do it? Though he doesn't feel that him and Mark are alone in the house. Mark's swears he's been seeing a shadow in the house. Something feels off and they both can feel it.
