He's always felt like he was missing something, and he always wondered if that hole could ever be filled. Hercules Mulligan grew up in Ireland. Even though his family was never rich he always seemed to have everything he has needed. His family was always loving and supporting of him. When he was 9 his family moved to America. With his sister about to get married and his brother being in a long term relationship he has felt left out. He just wanted someone he could love like that and someone who would love him in return.

Hunk never thought that someone could possibly love him; his too big body, his awkward speech, his shyness, were all completely unlovable.
