One infection causes the society to crumble like a cookie. No military, no economy, no leaders, nothing. No one is coming to save you, no one is there to help. Everyday is a struggle for Mariah Beckon, her adopted brother and sister not making it any easier. When the trio cross paths with a group from Atlanta, she meets the people who she belongs with, her family. As the group of people fight to survive, Mariah falls head over heels for one man in particular. No matter how hard she tries she just can't seem to forget that redneck. This is a story of many things: love, betrayal, hatred, death, but the most important of all, surviving. I do not own any of AMC's The Walking Dead characters, however everyone else mine, do not copy ANYTHING please. @Copyright 2013.

*Featured in the official Wattpad @Fanfic The Walking Dead reading list. Daryl and Alice shared a small history together. As children he made a promise to protect her, but never made good on that promise. He lived with that guilt as she lived with the disappointment. Neither one of them expected to be brought back together again, especially at the end of the world. It would seem fate wasn't through with them, and they'd have to not only find their place in the new world, but their place with each other. I will try to stick to the main story plot, but I will most likely be tweaking some of it around. Also, I like when characters stay close to the same as the original idea, and as always, I do not claim any of those as my own. All original characters and story plots belong to AMC's The Walking Dead and all their wonderful writers.
