"How do I know this is real? How do I know what you're saying is true?" I demanded. "You don't, but I bet you're feeling things that you've never felt before. Your head is probably saying that this is impossible; however, your heart beats faster and faster in this place. It's begging you to remember, but the mind is almost blocking everything from you." All Thea Danvers had ever known was that she was the girl who "fell out of the sky" one fateful night when she was ten. Now, eight years later, new forces come into play, turning her world upside down. Forces of magic, forces of the darkness, forces of the unknown, and forces of the heart push Thea to discover who she truly is and into a world where not everything is how it seems and not everyone is who they claim to be. Since the annual and averaged Stardust checks in every individual on Earth on 2015, Thomas Thomson has had to deal with his body being probed since he was 5. At 15, his mother left for a job opportunity, never coming back. A job about Stardust. Eventually, he got into college, learned space science, eventually got his degree and lived a life in England. A brother who picked on him, a friend who supported him and his anger issues taking control. All this time, he thought nothing of the Stardust checks. Until the day it happened. A poll, an announcement stating that the Earth would soon be nothing but ashes. Everyone with Stardust counts over 50% would be able to survive into space, able to go to the planet Proxima Centauri. Thomas didn't know how to feel. His whole life he has been probed for this? Why? Why so sudden? But, when he gets his name polled as some of the many to go on the mother ship into space called PEGASUS, most accept this new reality. A utopia, a deemed life for those picked to live. But Thomas knew, under all of the lies and the strange reappearance of his long lost mother, there was something more than this dark, utopian society that was suddenly thrusted upon him. ------- Cover done by @wackypineapple
