In einem kleinem Mietwohnungsbau in Atlanta begegnen Tom und Amanda sich zum ersten Mal. Aus den manchmal vorkommenden Blickwechseln im Fahrstuhl wird irgendwann tatsächlich ein Gespräch. Es dauert nicht lang, bis Amanda dem jungen Mann mit dem britischem Akzent verfällt. Doch das er berühmt ist und sich vorüber gehend in Atlanta aufhält, um den neuen Spider - Man Film zu drehen, verschweigt er gänzlich. Er erzählt ihr, dass er mehrere Jobs hat und deswegen oftmals so lange arbeitet. Als Amanda die Wahrheit erfährt, fühlt sie sich hintergangen. Wird ihre junge Liebe dennoch noch eine Chance haben?
