Nightshade is heavy with kits now that it is Leafbare. Not much had happened since Shadowfeather had left the camp. Dawnstone had found a mate of his own her name was, Sunpelt. Everyone was happy, even though Leafbare was bringing heavy sickness and little prey.

Nightpaw and Dawnpaw are still in dispute about Breezepaw, while Duskpaw receives a message from Quietcry about a terrible force coming to the forest, that could endanger all of the clans.
