Bria Matthews' parents have tried for years to convince her that she and they are werewolves. They repeatedly claim to be disciples of the Mesopotamian Goddess Ishtar, who was renowned for the curses she bestowed upon young admirers, one of whom she changed into a wolf. To Bria, it all seems incredibly farfetched but she keeps her parents' theology secret from her mainstream friends. Her life takes an unexpected turn when The Wolven Council, headed by Raif Daniels, sanctions a ceremony in which Bria is named as a direct descendant of the Goddess and is to be anointed Heir to Ishtar's Legacy. Gradually, Bria accepts her birthright and finally accepts her role in the Werewolf community. But, not everyone welcomes the new Heir. The animosity between clans and subsequent packs increases with certain Alphas objecting to the Council's decision. Bria's newfound position is a bone of contention, and her father becomes the first victim in the fight for power. Bria must now prove her worth to continue wearing the crown. For whoever succeeds will become the ultimate Alpha.

Having worshipped at God's feet for the best part of twenty-five years, Father Hendrie should know better - nightmares are only a fabrication of an over-active imagination. But the dreams which haunt him are terrifyingly vivid and all are somehow linked to an ancient mirror in his attic. It had been there when he moved in six months ago, but he thought nothing of it then, planning to get rid of it when he had time. Of late, though, it seemed to lure him - tempt, bait - and his faith is hanging in the balance. The nightmares begin encroaching on his waking day - he sees demons from the corner of his eye, even in the faces of people he knows in the community. Adding to the terror, multiple natural disasters bombard the news stations of the globe - people are living in fear as their homes and families are taken from them by earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis and forest fires. The world is in chaos. Things take a turn for the worse for Father Hendrie. After an extremely unsettling visit from what he could only describe as an unearthly creature, he deduces he is going mad. All that he believes is being thrown to the four winds, scattered, invalidated. He finds himself talking to demons, listening to impossible stories of Earth's history and more frighteningly, its destiny. 'Heaven' and 'Hell' are about to collide in a battle for dominance over the human Realm. And Man is about to meet his makers. Commenced 2nd February 2022 Copyright © AJWright 2022

Beneath broken stone and warped metal, a solitary raven panics as it senses imminent danger. It escapes certain death mere seconds before the structure finally crashes to the ground. On soaring above the devastation, the bird spies a wet-eyed woman, and her image is oddly emblazoned on its mind. Pulled inexorably towards the north of the Eastern Kingdoms, the bird's experiences give rise to dreams of the wet-eyed woman, and eventually, memories start to slot into place:- War against the Void Lords. The Dark Portal collapsing. The necessity to shape-shift within the time portal. Consequences. Sarah. Illidan. And a journal with a spell to revert the raven to the man he truly is - Archmage Khadgar. But have Sarah and Illidan found the journal? Making his way to Stormwind, the bird overhears devastating news - he is believed dead, and a state funeral is pending. Despair fills him as his only hope to be whole again is growing ever more distant - the journal has gone undiscovered. Is there a way he can let Sarah and Illidan know he is alive?
