Will her physical and mental abilities be enough to keep him safe, let alone survive the torture they call high school? *** We carried on walking through the amusement park until he pointed to a game, where you had to shoot down targets to win. "I bet I will beat you in that." He grabbed my hand and lead me to it. Little does he know. "What do I get when I win?" I laughed. "When? Pshhhh, I will get you a new motorcycle." I keep on forgetting how rich he is. "That means I don't need to catch rides with you anymore," I grin, "Game on, loser." He grabbed his water gun and shot at the cardboard targets and got down 15 out of 20 in the time he had. "Your turn, cupcake" Ace handed me the water gun. "Watch and learn, pretty boy." I grabbed the gun and aimed at the targets. After my two minute go, I shot down 20 out of 20. I turned to him with a smug expression and his mouth hung open. *** Luna Prescott is a 17 year old spy who has been working with the Agency for her whole life. In the kingdom of Vanderdash, there is no more feared warriors than that of the Scarlet Guard. Protectors of the royal family, skilled assassins trained since childhood, They follow the crown, they enforce the crown. To many, the group cloaked in red is a greater symbol of the royal family's power than the kings crown itself. Citizens respect and fear the scarlet guard, the power they hold. But within the guard there is only one who installed that very same feeling into the rest. Head of the prince's royal guard, ruthless and cunning, rarely seen by the citizens themselves. They call her Red. An expert in poisons and deception, the small girl has brought armies to their knees without once lifting a blade. A vermillion haired monster hidden behind the face of a doll. ~~ I smiled up at the men, "Would you like a cookie?" They peered into the basket I held out, spotting the heart shaped treats. "They're cinnamon with apple Jam. I do promise they are to die for." The taller mans eyes narrowed, "did you give the poor fool dead on the road a cookie?" My lips parted, "a dead man? Oh my..do you think it is safe?" "..depends on who you are miss, why did you say you were in the woods again?" I smiled gently, "I didn't." He rose a brow. "I'm delivering these," I shook the basket a bit, "to my dearest grandmama." He hesitated for only a slight second, "oh. well. be careful then. These woods can be dangerous." I nodded once still holding out the basket, "so would you?" "Would we what?" I giggle a bit, "like a cookie silly." "Ah.." he scratched the back of his head, "sorry, I'm not too fond of apples." Damn it. I sighed softly, "strawberry next time then." "Right..." As I turned to go I looked up at the two tall men, "you be careful now too gentleman. There are wolves in these woods." They nodded rigidly as I spun and began to skip off, giggling to myself. He asked the wrong question. I didn't give the dead fool a cookie. I gave him two.

BOOK #1 in The Fire series TRIGGER WARNING IN SOME CHAPTERS He leans closer, keeping me pinned against the wall with his hands on either side of my head. I glanced at both of them before holding his glare with my own. He was giving me a cold stare, caging me in like an animal. I bit my lip, trying to hold it back. I was never good in situations like these. He stopped leaning forward when his face was just inches from mine. He was trying to make me uncomfortable. Trying to scare me, but he didn't. I wasn't scared of him. I didn't hide my face or get nervous... I just bit my lip harder, trying to hold it in. It would just make things worse for me, I bet. He kept his eyes on mine as I glanced at his friend behind him with his arms crossed and a bored expression on his face. I looked back at the man in front of me. "You shouldn't act that way around me." He says coldly. "I can have you dead right-" I couldn't hold it in. I started laughing. He leans back, shocked, but his face goes into a glare as soon as his friend behind him perks up, watching, interested now. I calm down a little. "I'm sorry." I say, catching my breath. "Continue, Continue." He watched me closely before leaning closer to me again. "I can have you killed-" Suddenly, I lost it again, laughing harder, bending a little to hold my stomach. He punched the wall in an effort to scare me but instead made me laugh even harder, falling to the ground and rolling on my side. Soon I had his friend laughing with me as the man in front of me glared at both of us. "Don't give me that look. She's the one who started laughing." His friend said, wheezing a little bit and trying to stop laughing. I calmed down a bit, standing up to face them, a smile on my face. "Now, if you're done threatening me," I raise an eyebrow. "Or at least trying to. I'll be on my way." With that, I grabbed my backpack, turned my back to them, and walked away.

Honestly, never thought I would find such a great book in wattpad." ~ @unpure_angel "The story is well written, and the author's use of words makes you really live the story. The story in itself was very gripping and had the right amount of action and romance. It wasn't predictable and had you guessing from the very start to the end. It's one of those stories that stay in your mind even after finishing it.
