Moje tělo se nekontrolovatelně třáslo strachy jen díky jeho blízkosti. Natáhla jsem k němu třesoucí ruku a projela mu jí ve vlasech. Stuhl a nadzvedl hlavu. Vše začíná rokem 1938 a dvěma mladými Němci, zamilovanými jeden do druhého. Oba jsou zatím jen naivními dětmi, které nikdy nepoznaly pravé utrpení, zradu, zklamání. To se však má velmi brzy změnit. Na povrch vyplouvá děsivé tajemství, které mělo zůstat raději navždy skryto někde v hlubinách hustě popsaných stránek matričních knih. Tajemství, které vztah dvou zamilovaných značně zkomplikuje. Tím tajemstvím je žlutá hvězda nadepsaná slovem Jude a také zelená čepice se znakem lebky, která nakonec donutí dva mladé lidi ke spáchání děsivého činu. Více vám prozradit nemůžu, pokud chcete znát vyprávění Anny a Ericha, nezbývá vám nic jiného, než se začíst do jejich příběhu. Promlouvá v něm láska, zklamání, Davidova hvězda, čapice se stříbrnou lebkou, vysoké komíny, zásnubní prstýnek, i osud sám. Pozn.: Tento krátký příběh byl napsaný k 27.1. 2021, ke Dni památky obětí holocaustu. Ráda bych, aby sloužil jako připomínka na těch více než čtyřicet milionů lidí, kteří hrůzy druhé světové války nepřežili, bez ohledu na to, na jaké straně barikády stáli.
