For years, Papyrus knows, Sans has had nightmares. Horrible nightmares, nightmares that leave him crying in the dark, crippled in the mind, and barely able to function in life. And that's why Papyrus stays so happy, so bright, for Sans, to keep his brother going through the hard times. But when Papyrus starts having nightmares, he knows something is wrong. And even if it means Sans is finally stepping up to fend for himself, even if he's finally once again filling the role of the protective older brother, Papyrus knows that something dark is coming...

This story take place directly after a failed genocide. Frisk feels like she is a horrible person as she struggles to save all the monsters again, and is ashamed to show her face to Sans. She pushes all her friends away from her believing that they would all hate her after what she did. Sans is conflicted with his feelings. He had good memories with Frisk, but could he forgive her after what she did?? IMPORTANT: Frisk and Chara are both female in this story. Sans can remember all past timelines, so he remembers Frisk's genocide perfectly. This is a Frans story, so if you don't like this ship then don't read the book. Frisk is not a kid in this story, she is around 16. Chara is a couple of years older than Frisk. Sans is a little older than Chara (also he's a monster so why are we questioning age?). Also I probably won't finish this story unless people want me to. No characters belong to me. Undertale, it's quotes and it's characters belong to Toby Fox. This is just an Undertale fan fiction.
