Brendawyn is the younger sister of Haldir, the March Warden of Lothlórien. After an argument with her three older brothers, Brendawyn steals away to find an adventure of her own. She makes for Rohan, an attempt to flee from the corruption of Sauron. Brendawyn finds herself suddenly surrounded by a group of horselords and is interrogated by their leader: sister-son to King Thèoden: Èomer. Before she knows it, she is a Rider of Rohan and a trusted friend of Èomer. But when their company is banished from Rohan, they track a group of Uruks North-East and slaughter them in the night- but they find something they do not expect. They find Rayel. Now Brendawyn is faced with her decision of running away. Could she make things right with her brothers? Could Rohan really defeat the forces of Sauron? And why did she find herself falling in love with a mortal?
