"Do they not say that a good friendship builds on a ground of lies?" I joke, lightening the mood immediately as his green eyes glint in humor and a smirk falls on his familiar lips. "Do you kiss a lot of your friends, love?" The underlying tones threaten to provoke a blush on my cheeks, but I get myself together. Smirking at him, "Well, of course, is that not the norm?" *********** Dakota Moore is the perfect example of a beautiful disaster. Her wisdom is ready to knock anyone down, her self worth is an exact replica of the way her father raised her, and her pain so intense it screams over every building. She refuses to show anyone what's going on behind closed doors, especially when her lovely father gets the traumatic news that he has an incurable disease. Elijah Black is the spur of the moment kind of guy, he's the one no one ever settles with because of his angry outbursts and rude ways. Even though he throws everyone off, except for when they want sexual advances, he still can't help but feel enthralled by the freckled girl who's hiding so many secrets behind a fake smile. As they clash and try to reject the obvious rush, will they accept their attraction, or is everything just too much? After all, how can two ruined teenagers manage a youthful love without destroying themselves in the process? [COMPLETED] WARNING: I wrote this when I was in high school, which was about seven/eight years ago. That reflects so much in the writing of this book. Best friends Ellie Nichols and Colton Davis were inseparable all their lives. They stuck by each other throughout middle school and high school, all the way until they were accepted into separate colleges. Colton was offered a full scholarship for football while Ellie wanted to stay closer to home at a smaller community college. They had promised to stay in touch, but all promises are made to be broken. They lose contact and the only way Ellie sees her best friend anymore is watching him play on t.v. But all of that changes when Ellie's counselor gives her a big surprise, a letter of acceptance to the same school where Colton plays football. But with Ellie the teams athletic trainer, will it bring her closer to her best friend, or will something come between them? #15 Teen Fiction 9/23/2015

I felt the presence of his body move closer to me but only barely touch me, as if he was teasing me. His lips brushed against my skin as he traveled to the place just under the hollow of my ear. My heart fluttered in my chest. Where had he learned to kiss like this? He continued down my neck until he hit my collar bone and I felt his hot breath dance across my neck and fall down my shirt right between the swell of my breasts causing me to shiver. OH DANG! I opened my eyes and started to protest. "I want a rematch! Please!" I pleaded, stepping back. "Sorry, no can do," he teased, the crooked grin spreading across his lips. I shuddered at the thought of actually kissing him. But the part that scared me was I couldn't tell if I was shuttering in disgust or anticipation. ~~~ Stacy Hall is a tomboy: she spends most of her time hanging out with boys, she never wears dresses or makeup, and she hates the way other girls obsess over boys and gossip. But what happens when she starts having feelings for one of her closest guy friends? Someone she's known since she was little. Someone who has a tendency to flirt a little too much. Will she push him away or pull him closer? And what if he's just as confused as she is?
