Ivory Jones has faced the challenges of segregation all her life. Growing up in Birmingham, one of the most segregated cities in America, she keeps her head down and avoids socializing with all people that are trouble. It's 1963, and as racism gets worse in America, the risk of danger is rising rapidly for Ivory. Everything and everyone around her is crashing and burning, while she is forced to sit still and watch. Just when Ivory decides it's not worth living her painful life anymore.. Will a certain turquoise-blue eyed boy be able to save her?
