This is an alternative version for 5.05. The magic reveal came far too late and that fire side scene was the perfect moment for it. So, mingling happily with 5.13, here is how I would have liked to see it! WARNING: If you have not seen 5.13, there are major spoilers!

Merthur AU (Set around early season 4) Arthur Pendragon is the new king of Camelot having assumed the throne after his father's death at the hands of his sister, Morgana. One day while out on a hunt, a Druid appears, telling him of his destiny; a man named Emrys who resides in Ealdor. The Druid advises the king to seek out the man, for Arthur's destiny cannot begin without him, for he is Morgana's doom. Merlin is a young warlock living in the small farming village of Ealdor. His life is quiet. He spends his days toiling away at the fields with his best friend Will while honing his magical talents with the help of his mentor, Gaius, the physician from Camelot who visits on occasion. When he meets Arthur Pendragon, he can't help but hate the prat. Of course, until he gets to know him better. Meanwhile, Morgana scours the kingdom for the sorcerer Emrys. Desperate to find him before he finds her. When her search leads her towards Ealdor, she's surprised to find Arthur there, and with a scrawny peasant boy no less. As their paths cross in the usually uneventful village, it becomes a race between the son and daughter of Uther Pendragon to either save or destroy Emrys.

When Merlin gets sick, Arthur is affected also. And why? Because of magic of course! Secrets are revealed, Morgana is attacking and things start changing. And watch out! Merlin AU where Arthur had met Merlin before his arrival in Camelot. An eighteen year old Arthur Pendragon is captured by bandits. He meets a young boy named Merlin as he waits in the dungeon. This book will have little (or big depending how it plays out) stories about the TV show Merlin that can be more then a few chapters or just one. You can recommend things and I'll see if I can do good of the idea.

Merlin is injured unknowingly to the others during training and then is later shot by vengeful bandits on a hunt.
