2035, the near future. For 29-year-old Liah Cain, prison was supposed to be a new beginning. A way for her to escape the horror and violence of her childhood. But it's hard to run from your past when you're a top secret weapon for the American government and one of the most dangerous people alive. Alongside another orphan like herself, Cain was taken as a child for an experimental military program. She was trained brutally to combat a deadly group of cyber terrorists intent on leaving their human bodies behind. But after a routine mission went terribly wrong, Cain refused to return to the battlefield and was imprisoned indefinitely for treason. Her only friend and fellow child soldier, Mason, was killed in action. And without him, Cain lost everything worth fighting for. But now, after nearly a decade behind bars, she's needed for one last mission. And this time she has a reason to fight. A weapons facility in the middle of the Australian desert has been overtaken by a battalion of mechanically enhanced soldiers. The leader of the group has released a cryptic audio recording: unknown doom will be released from within the bowels of the facility in exactly 48 hours. Although it makes no sense, the voice of the leader belongs to a dead man. It belongs to Mason, Cain's childhood friend.

Afectus| Αφή: to feel, adfectus: emotions Ava Collins decides to participate in a programme experimenting on emotions. Every participant is programmed to feel one singular emotion per day. They are then given a steady job, a house and are paired up into random couples and forced to live a 'normal' life in a neighborhood sealed off from the rest of society. Career, house, partner. Everything you want from life! Just as long as they only feel their assigned emotion. However, the programme is faulty; they are experimenting after all! People's emotions are returning and as a result, they suddenly disappear. When a shocking incident breaks the program's control over Ava, she must continue as normal to save herself. She is confident she can trick the system, yet a fellow participant, Daniel Harris, is quick to notice; having recently dominated his emotions. Being in charge of their emotions once more, they join forces in an attempt to escape. The growing urge to reveal their true feelings, to speak up in moments of passion and protect each other at all costs, complicates things as they try to battle the system. While falling in love in such a situation proves easy, they must learn to trust each other and put reason above passion.
