So for better or for worse, she found herself in the middle of a war (as well as in front of it), with entirely new people, and with a tremendous amount of insecurity. She wasn't even secure in who she was; though, she certainly knew better than everyone around her. So after that night, after that decision, she firmly believed that the universe was pitted against her, that the gods had some sort of vendetta.
