Seventh year was meant to be The Year for Rose Weasley and Scorpius Malfoy. They were the Heads of Hogwarts, had perfect scores, were top of their class and didn't intend to get along. Little did they expect to actually get along and go further than family history would have permitted them to.

She's smart, she's witty and she's sick of watching egotistical witches and wizards preying on those who can't -- or, in this case, won't -- stand up for themselves. Rose Weasley just can't understand why Scorpius Malfoy lets people walk all over him and she's determined to get to the bottom of it. That is, until their first conversation consists of rudeness and hostility, and Rose begins to think that all her efforts to defend him were for nothing. But there's more to Scorpius than meets the eye, and a pathetic squabble over a Charms book might just be the thing that shows her that.

Rose Weasley has always been the top of her class. She got it from her mum, the pure determination to soak in all the information that she learned because to her, there was nothing more interesting. But at the start of her sixth year, she is already feeling stumped, and not because of the higher-level N.E.W.T classes that she is taking. No, this is because of a Malfoy. Her parents were never too thrilled that she was friends with the kid, but it didn't stop Rose, especially not when she couldn't even see her best friend/cousin without also seeing him. Along with Rose, Scorpius was also one of the top students in the class. He was her only real competition. And the friendly competition never hurt anyone, well, not until this year. Rose can't put her finger on what it is exactly, that has caused this shift in her friendship with Scorpius and she hates it. She hates not knowing the answers to things, and this one replayed in her head all the time. She's stumped trying to figure it out, of course not realizing that it's her cluelessness that's the real problem. This story is filled with all the different types of love, family, friends, and yes, some romance. Follow Rose on her coming of age journey through her last two years at Hogwarts, where she learns all that she possibly can about magic, and possibly more importantly, about life. ***Note: This story was written before the Cursed Child, so not everything is completely "cannon" but more of my ideas on the next generation before the Cursed Child even came out. Rose Weasley despises Scorpius Malfoy. Right up until fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Scorpius has done nothing but tease and torment Rose with his favourite phrase "Weaselette." I'm horrid at these but oh well...here goes... We find Rose and Scorpius in their 5th year at Hogwarts school of witch craft and wizardry school, along with their two other best friend Albus and Alice. Rose and Scorpius have a very special love and hate relationship, one moment they are close and friendly the next they are screaming at the top of their lungs at each other. Being in different houses and both so competitive in quidditch and school work doesn't help their huge arguments. Though as they enter their 5th year, will things change between them? Or will things change all together, since the wizarding world is becoming dark once again... My first book and I am not an amazing author like JK Rowling so nearly all of the things in this book obviously belong to her. I am also not an amazing speller (is that a word?!) so bare with me!! - Rose x
