Book Two of TGGBB Series Naomi Lorraine, who used to be or still known as Nerdy Naomi, looks forward in her thick rimmed glasses to a life without the fear of being bullied. She no longer has to take up the laughs, insults, and bruises high school once gave her, at least she hopes not as much. With her bullies finally realizing there's no point to dedicating their lives to make one person miserable, Naomi thinks she can live out the rest of her life normally. That is until her childhood friend, Dominic, crashes back into her life, throwing out that hope of having a normal life- Not like she had one in the beginning. That is because she has the Three Musketeers -Bennett Frazier, Jordan Wallace, and Declan Lynch- by her side. Together, they faced the adventures life threw at them and would have never thought that anything, or anyone, could break them. Oh, but don't worry. Really, you're overthinking things here. This is nothing to stress over about. It's still quite simple really. She's still their good girl. And they're still her bad boys. Right?

I felt deep heavy breathes fanning my face. I hesitantly looked up. 'Damn it Kage! You're a hybrid! Stop acting scared!' I mentally scolded myself. I looked up to lock gaze with a set of piercing bright honey golden eyes. Bright bluish-silver specks surrounding his eyes. I felt drawn to them. My eyes roamed his face and let me tell you...he was a Greek god. Perfectly shaped eyebrows, straight nose, firm pink lips and a strong, sharp jawline. I am 100% sure this man was sculpted by the gods themselves. His face just looks so kissable. A few locks of his jet black silky hair fell onto his forehead. Damn...... Tingles started to emerge from the contact of my hands above me. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "Eeek!" I was being thrown over his broad muscled shoulders....wait, what? 'Snap out of it Kage!!!!' "Who the hell are you!? Damn it! Put me down before I send your head flying!" I threatened as I growled. I thrashed my legs all about and punched his back. His grip on me tightened and he kept walking as if there wasn't a raging Hybrid on his shoulders. "Let me go! Goddammit!" "Stop squirming and shut the hell up before I take you right here, right now, mate." He warned in a deep growl. Well shit, did he just say Mate? ⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊ Hey everyone, this is my first book so please forgive me if there are any incorrect grammars, spelling, you know, stuff like that. "Light up my darkness," he murmured against her bare flesh. His fingers trailed up her arm, leaving a blazing fire beneath them. His lips pressed softly against her shoulder and her eyes fluttered closed, accepting his touch. "Let go and I'll take away all of the pain." She desperately wanted to free herself from the torture of the heat, of the shift, of the sadness, but she pushed his firm chest away from her. She yearned to finally fulfill her place among the divine. She desired to guide and protect the species. She wished to eliminate the Challengers. The longer she endured the pain, the more power she would attain to help her fulfill her responsibilities. To the men who watched her ascend, it looked as if she was interacting with thin air, but she knew he was there with her. She smiled softly at him, caressing his cheek. "My Darkness, let the pain fester within me. I crave it." * The Betrayal is a part of The Marking Trilogy and cannot be read as a stand-alone book. The Marking must be read first.* Cover by @Finding_Bria
