A spin-off to the Family Comes First series. The Wilcox family became famous for their kidnappings, brainwashing, murders, and let's not forget about cannibalism. This is the story of Leah Marshall and how she was taken one night after getting in a fight with her boyfriend. Gabriel takes her and brings her home to be a wife for his son Jared. *You don't have to read the Family Comes First series first, but it definitely does help*

Song quotes that I find inspiring or relatable by some of my favorite artists. I will literally listen to almost any type of music so there is a chance there will be at least one artist in here that you will know.

When trust fund brat Siobhan McIver gets kicked out of her family, handsome Alexander Cosetino is there to help her move forward with her life. But why's he pressuring her to get married? Alex is in control of everything... and Siobhan's not so good at doing what she's told. Plus, there's a good looking, but snarky, FBI agent who's always telling her that Alex is a Mob Boss and not a Wall Street lawyer. Then there's this high ranking Russian mobster she accidentally on purpose she narked on and who's looking for revenge... lately, it seems like everything's up in the air. Maybe she should be, too. Sometimes the only way out is up. This is the first edition of FlyGirl. Uncut, unedited, and unproofed.

In 1874, Ivy Steele's deafness is more than a handicap. It's a disease. Surrounded by a family that doesn't understand her, she's learned to cope and find solace where she can. Then, the unexpected happens. Her aunt dies, and her uncle sends her away to rejoin her father's family in Montana. Left to fend for herself, after the companion hired to escort her abandons her, Ivy faces continual hardship and danger. Several men see an unaccompanied Ivy as a flower ripe for the picking, and things only get worse when masked men hold up their stagecoach. Barely scraping through, Ivy makes it to Montana with her nerves shaken and what little money she has in her boot. Expecting a peaceful if not affectionate welcome, Ivy finds herself in greater hardship than she's ever known. Surrounded by a stepfamily that hates her, and flung into a life where hearing is vital, Ivy finds solace in a handsome cowboy named Remy. But things with her new family are not what they seem. And Ivy is about to find out that the danger she faced on the journey west, has followed her to Montana... Bethany Swafford dazzles with her stunning young adult debut, introducing a strong heroine, the hardships of frontier life, shocking twists, and a slow-burning romance that will leave you wanting more. (Placed in the Top 10 of the #MindOverMatterContest) A collection of works I have written based on issues I have faced and how I got over them. I like to think of this as an advice/inspirational message sort of thing. If any of you have anything you need advice on, feel free to comment or private message me. I'll answer to the best of my abilities. #MindOverMatterContest Entry: It's not uncommon for people to struggle with the desire to be perfect. This was how I got past the whisperers of my own mind, and finally succeeded in finding my own definition of the word so often used to describe something unattainable: perfection.

Hi, I am Anna and this is just a glimpse of what my life has been like for the past several months. I hope that my ongoing story helps you, along with some of the tips I use everyday. Disclaimer: I didn't include this in the story because it isn't the purpose. I have Hashimoto's, an auto-immune disease where the immune system attacks your thyroid. I cannot describe this perfectly, but basically it messes up my hormones and so many other factors that played a role in my anxiety. I was never really diagnosed by a doctor but the symptoms were there for my anxiety and depression. My naturopath has helped me with natural supplements and techniques for the past few months. There is so much more to this but I can't describe it all on here. I understand how sensitive this topic is and that there are people who are still suffering, that have been diagnosed and are in need of help. I just wanted to make this a bit clearer so hopefully it won't offend anyone. Thank you :) (Placed in Top Ten of #MindOverMatterContest)

(A personal piece chosen to be in the top 10 for the Mind Over Matter Contest) Please don't hesitate to view my other works as well as request a cover from my cover book! :) The world thrives on pain. It is never about the happy ending, the prize, reward or the success. Life is about the journey. How we got there, what we had to endure. It's about the pain we all feel. The pain that pushes us forward but can also throw us so far back in our progress. At least, that's how I see it. You can't have happiness without sadness or success without failure. I thought my life was perfect, glorious, spotless. I was content with myself and the future that I was producing. That was all before everything changed. I became tired, confused, lonely and the only thing I could truly blame was my own head, my own thoughts. I had to learn the true meaning of being myself and how to want to live again. The thoughts in my head, constantly manipulating me, insulting me, tearing me apart slowly and fading out all of my originality, were relentless. This 500 word piece shows my struggle, my failure, my regret but also, describes my success, my future, and my happiness. I could not be where I am now without this hardship, without learning how to make the voices hush.
