Keith didn't care for the "soulmaute" thing, but apparently his supposed soulmate (Lance) did and he contacted him. Keith was just leading his uneventful life, and while it should have stayed that way, someone came into the picture. When Keith finds a mysterious bag left at the side of a road, he finds himself in a situation that no-one should ever be in.
