New York. 2120. American has been decimated, wiped out from the second Civil War. In this post-apocalyptic world, survivors are far and few between. And most of those who do survive are members of the violent gangs, predators who live in the big cities. They patrol the countryside looking for slaves, for fresh victims to bring back into the city for their favorite death sport: Arena One. The death stadium where opponents are made to fight to the death, in the most barbaric of ways. There is only one rule to the arena: no one survives. Ever. Deep in the wilderness, high up in the Catskill Mountains, 17 year old Brooke Moore manages to survive, hiding out with her younger sister, Bree. They are careful to avoid the gangs of slaverunners who patrol the countryside. But one day, Brooke is not as careful as she can be, and Bree is captured. The slaverunners take her away, heading to the city, and to what will be a certain death. Brooke, a Marine's daughter, was raised to be tough, to never back down from a fight. When her sister is taken, Brooke mobilizes, uses everything at her disposal to chase down the slaverunners and get her sister back. Along the way she runs into Ben, 17, another survivor like her, whose brother was taken. Together, they team up on their rescue mission. What follows is a post-apocalyptic, action-packed thriller, as the two of them pursue the slaverunners on the most dangerous ride of their lives, following them deep into the heart of New York. Along the way, if they are to survive, they will have to make some of the hardest choices and sacrifices of their lives, encountering obstacles neither of them had expected-including their unexpected feelings for each other. Will they rescue their siblings? Will they make it back? And will they, themselves, have to fight in the arena?

Step into the high-stakes game played by today's technology innovators, who push the envelope and risk it all. Get ready, this thrilling book gives you a taste of what startups are really like. _____________________________________________________ David Alexander, a young programmer in Portland, Oregon, loathed his job. Computer programming had always come naturally, but being an employee never suited him. So he tried entrepreneurship instead. After making a series of embarrassing blunders, David finally hit on a startup idea that stuck: encrypted chat. Sure there were alternatives, but as Edward Snowden has shown us, most of them (willingly or unwillingly) have backdoors for spies and bad guys. A new approach made David's app one of the most secure options out there, which caught the attention of many people, including Shawn Douglas from the Secret Service. Shawn Douglas worked with eight different presidents, preventing twenty assassination attempts, forty-three terrorist plots and two bullets. When he was promoted to a desk job overseeing and organizing travel, he picked up on a cryptic email thread that hinted at a threat to the President's life. In a race to unravel the conspiracy, Shawn and David both have to make some difficult decisions. Will Shawn stop the terrorists in time? Will David be able to navigate his startup out of a crisis and keep his entrepreneurial dream alive? Or will fate deal them both a crushing hand? Read the book to find out.

Book #2 in The Fire series SELENE BLAZE "You've got the wrong girl." I say as I continue to take a step backward. He stepped forward not letting me get away. "I know her you've seen her, so you're gonna tell her something for me." Jaxon says taking an extra step forward and I immediately step backward again. I can't let him get close to me. It's been years, but for some reason, he still scared the hell out of me. "What if I say no? What if I don't tell her?" I ask as I let out a shaky breath. "Oh, you're going to tell her." Jaxon says taking another step forward as I take one back, but my back meets a wall. "You tell her, that if I ever see her again, I'll kill her." "What did she ever do to you?" I growl, suddenly thankful for the wig on my head, covering my real hair. "She lived." Jaxon hisses and I knew what he was talking about. He wishes my sister had survived instead of me. Well, he can just join the club, he's not the only one. I swallow as he leans closer. "Do you think she'll understand?" I slowly nod. "She'll understand." I say. "Good." He smiles leaning back. "Also tell her to stay away from the strip. She doesn't deserve to race." "She'll never agree to that." I blurt out. It was the truth, I would never agree to that. "I guess you better find a way to convince her." Jaxon says. "Or your heads on the line." "Is there a problem here?" Wesley asks coming towards us. "No." Jaxon smiles before patting my shoulder roughly. "Besides, I was just leaving." He walks away leaving me alone with Wesley. "Are you okay?" He asks and I look at him. I scoff and walk away. I may be afraid of Jaxon, but Wesley doesn't scare me. And after everything that's happened, I hated Wesley.

"This is a story of a lifetime. I have been working on this for so long now. I searched so many journals, mission reports, voice records, videotapes and so much more. But you deserve to know the truth. Because these people deserve to be known in the right way. Now forget everything you think you know. It's going to be a little hard to believe. Because we have been living this lie for a long time now. Here is the story of the people who changed the world. My name is Dr. George Garcia. And this is "The new world" " What would your reaction be if you found something down in the ocean that has been sitting down there for thousands of years? What if you open "that thing" and see something you could never expect, never imagine, something that could change the world entirely?
