Saiba saw this as a sign from his wife to become better. He took the young boy into his home and he gave him a family that could love him. Izuku saw the passion that Saiba and Soma had for cooking that he gave up his dream of being a hero. He decided to become a cook and bring smiles through his food thus he became a cook.
