This is an early draft of the 2014 SyFy original movie "Mutant World" I wrote, which was considered too expensive for the $1.5M budget we had to work with. While the centre of the film is still there, the produced version you can watch has many elements in this screenplay altered, and some stripped away all together. The result changed the tone and themes of the story, as well as the arc of several main characters. If you've ever wanted to see a before-and-after of a network-produced feature, this is a fun glimpse into the process. I apologize for some of the formatting, since the screenplay format doesn't copy-paste into wattpad 100% perfectly, so I'm cleaning it up as a work in progress.

Kala and Leo touch down on Earth, making quick work of human defenses, just as the Professor triggers a massive explosion, crippling the military installation and setting Alex free. Aliens, humans and everyone in between are forced to choose sides and square off in a devastating battle as Tia learns that she is more than just human... she's the key to peace between two alien civilizations that have been at war for decades. And without her, it's a war that Earth can only lose.
