James and Lily Potter had made it quite clear that if they died in the war, the twins were to be raised by their godfathers: Sirius Black and Remus Lupin. But when they did die, their plans were ignored. First, Harry was sent to live with the Dursleys, who hated all things magic. And then Cassia was given to Severus Snape, who hated all things Potter. Still loathing James and obsessed with Lily, raising Lily's daughter became the perfect fodder for his delusion that Lily had chosen him, that Cassia was their daughter. And so, with Dumbledore keeping anyone from speaking up, Cassia Potter died, and Cassia Snape was born. And for ten years, Cassia Snape lived at Hogwarts, befriending students and never questioning why the teachers who'd known her for her entire life still stumbled over her name. Until she starts her first year at Hogwarts, and the Professor McGonagall calls for Cassia Potter to be sorted.

On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. He got seven. And a half. Number 5.5, The Girl was The Boy's twin. They were, for all intents and purposes, one person. Known by her brother as Quinn, Number 5.5 was the team's psychic, able to read the minds of anyone that she could see, or anyone that Number 5 could see. But when Number 5 disappears, The Girl freezes. Her body shows no signs of ageing or decaying, as if she has simply stopped. But when her brother returns from the future with warnings of an impending apocalypse, Quinn wakes up. And she remembers everything.

Adrienne Argent had plenty of expectations when her family moved to Beacon Hills. She'd expected to struggle with making friends; she'd expected it to take a few weeks to get to know the woods; she'd expected Allison to be immediately beloved; she'd expected to be cast aside once again. She hadn't expected to be attacked by a monstrous wolf on her first nightly jog; she hadn't expected to grow claws and fangs and be able to move things with just a thought; she hadn't expected her entire family to try to kill her; and she definitely hadn't expected her only support system to be the one person who hated the Argents as much as she did.

❝I'd rather die kind and forgotten than be remembered for being brutal.❞ ( currently undergoing a soft rewrite -- chapters will be reposted as they're edited! ) ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Had Bellamy not volunteered, he wouldn't be sent out for slaughter. Had he not volunteered, he wouldn't be a pawn in the Capitol's sick game of exploitation; the young and desirable fan favourite with a lionheart and haunting blue eyes -- a rare and unusual sight to behold from District Nine, making him all the more of a target to tributes whilst the crowd swayed in his favour. ⠀⠀⠀⠀Then again, had Bellamy not volunteered, he'd never have gotten to live out his final lasting days with her. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀[ extended summary inside ] ⠀⠀⠀⠀ 69th hunger games | oc x oc ⠀⠀⠀⠀ olivia martin © 2016 (original ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ver) & © 2019 (revamped ver) ⠀⠀⠀⠀( cover by me / @iydiamartin )
