Hudson Ellis is good at his job. Somehow, he manages not to annoy people when he knocks at their doors and asks them to contribute to the charity he works for - instead, he gets them to sign up for sponsoring programmes and fish whatever spare change they have out of their pockets. Even the infamously tough residents of New York City are falling victim to Hudson's easy-going ways and wide smile; that is, until one woman renders him speechless with sarcastic refusals and slams her door in his face. Perhaps Hudson would be able to forget her - if it wasn't for the fact that she lives on the same floor of the next apartment over, and they both have floor-to-ceiling windows that allow for a rather generous view into each other's flats.

A/N: This is an unedited, significantly different version of the soon to be published novel by losangelesque aka L. Akhter. This draft was written when I was 15-18 years old and I highly encourage new readers to read the published version instead. Former high school football star Frank Novak meets profound and depressed loner Lolita Abri - and falls headfirst into love. Throughout the course of one school year, they unravel each other and their sadness, setting apart their differences and realizing that sometimes love isn't enough - and sometimes it just might be. Mason Grey was the biggest pop sensation since, like, EVER, and Natalie Perry was his girlfriend…or so everyone thought. According to Mason’s fans, he liked girls. According to his management team and Natalie, however, he liked boys. Natalie finds out that Mason’s been lying to her and everyone else. She can either sever all ties with him, or flip the script. After all, their love can’t possibly be real—it’s scripted. You’ve heard of faking straight, but what about faking gay?

"No one ever said life would be easy. They just said it would be worth it." This was supposed to be the best summer of our lives. It was supposed to be our last chance at childhood before adulthood hit us in the face. It was supposed to be Our Last Hurrah. But things rarely go to plan. Not with us four. We're practically the poster teens for everything that can go wrong will. This is it, I'm laying it all down and telling you what's going on. Let's see how that works out.
