(Previously titled His Game) ~~●~~ When April Winters gets caught up in a dangerous car accident, her entire life is flipped around. After spending months in coma, she wakes up to realize that she has been diagnosed with amnesia and has no full remembrance of who she was. Now she has to handle being tormented and bullied by the notorious Asher Black for reasons unknown to her. Will she ever find the forgotten reason for his intense hatred? Will she ever find out who she really was without toppling off the verge of insanity? Asher Black is cruel, undeniably attractive, and April's biggest tormentor. The sole reason behind her scars, and the sole reason behind her smile. His hate is driven by the ghosts of his past, and burning desire for revenge; to play her in a game the same way she did. However, as Ernest Hemmingway once said, "All things truly wicked start from innocence." . . . . . . . . . I wrote this book when I was a teenager, during a time when I was working through a lot of intense feelings and experiences in my own life. The story reflects that period of my imagination and emotional processing. Some of the content involves abuse, bullying, and mental health struggles, and it may be difficult or triggering for some readers. I've shared this story because it helped me feel seen and understood when I needed it most, and I hope it can offer some sense of connection or comfort to others as well. Please take care of yourself while reading.
