Sealed inside the towering city walls of Acadia, magic users known as Wielders are feared and hunted for the abilities they have been blessed with. They're living in hiding, terrified of revealing themselves to the Authorities that hunt them. But while Acadia digs into the earth for the magical stone that weakens the Wielders, they are unaware of the ancient evil, known as Foulings, trapped underneath. Three young Wielders, scattered across Evaros, have the power to not only end the oppression of innocent Wielders, but also stop the Foulings from repeating a history of chaos and death. Determined to save her brother, Marina fights to control the ice she manipulates. Going against her own rules, she makes dangerous deals with a flame from her past. Adira, imprisoned for powers she has just discovered, gives hope to the others that one day her unique abilities will free them. She doubts she is the savior they want, when she doesn't even understand the powers she has. Soren struggles to reconnect with a girl seared into his memories. Controlled by a dark Wielder whose plans put the world in jeopardy, he realizes that the girl might be the key to restoring his humanity. Against the odds, Marina, Adira and Soren fight for freedom, strength, and love with their lives and their hearts on the line. / Fantasy / Romance / Young Adult / **First Draft** **Current Cover by @sugarcrystals**

A close brush with death awakens her necromancy abilities, and she becomes hell-bent on resurrecting her father. However, necromancy is forbidden, and if her secret is exposed, the Hall of Games will execute her. Ametrine - A glowing jewel of an empire, resting on the western side of a continent that is split down the middle by a vast, impassable forest. Once with great power and wealth, Ametrine's light is slowly dying, as its nine courts ignore the needs of the country and bicker amongst themselves about land, commerce, politics, and their individual rights to the Garnet Throne; the seat of power that has remained untouched for the past twenty-two years. With the country sinking, all eyes begin to turn in fear towards the barbaric tribes in the South, and Ametrine's jealous cousins to the North. Amidst all of this lives Lenora Sparks, the second daughter of the late Lord Gabriel Sparks, and possibly the most headstrong, wilful, and fiercely stubborn young girl in the Emerald Court. Stuck in a life with no freedom, Lenora's plans to escape her prison and live like her adventurous father seem utterly impossible. Until the adventure and danger come to her. Literally overnight, Lenora is taken from her home and wakes up next to an unfamiliar sea, on the side of the forest where her people have not tread in over 300 years. Lost and alone, Lenora joins forces with two terrifying allies whom are also trying to get home, though the bond they make may very well end Lenora's life. That is, if the curious soldiers with the playing cards stitched to their uniforms and a crazed circus ring leader don't get to her first. The unfamiliar will become familiar and the home she once knew will become more and more dangerous, as Lenora's journey across the Eastern Side unearths the truth about herself, her family, and her country - a truth that will change the faces of who she can trust forever. Back in Ametrine, a formidable foe has returned to take back what rightfully belongs to them. When Ametrine can no longer stand, friendly faces will show their dark side, enemy will become ally, and not even the dead will be able to hold back the secrets that could very well destroy the kingdom.

Samuel Brandt woke up with his thoughts written all over his body. His brother woke up with his head missing. His sister woke up to find that her skin would crack open unless she stayed in water. All of the other children in the secluded Iowa town of Oak Knoll woke up having undergone strange transformations. Now, they are all forced to live at 407 West Marshall Street, the mysterious house outside of town. With the new name of The Boy with Words for Skin, Samuel wants nothing more than to hide from his new life. He painfully and unpredictably sheds his skin, there is a Voice in the entryway closet that is often cruel, and-perhaps worst of all for a naturally shy boy-the other children look to him as a leader. As his seven-year-old brother struggles with their new life, as terrifying growls start to come from the pitch black basement, and as his feelings for a girl begin to grow, The Boy with Words for Skin realizes that he wants to change. He wants to put others first, learn from his peers, and let himself hope that things will get better. The Boy with Words for Skin is the first book in the 407 West Marshall Street series. Each book will advance the story but be told from a different character. Book 2 will be The Girl without Eyes.
